About Dragon*Con

Dragon*Con is held on Labor Day each year in Downtown Atlanta, in 2010 it will be held September 3rd - September 6th. The convention uses up convention space at five of the largest hotels in the Southeast; The Atlanta Westin, Hyatt, Marriott Marquis, Downtown Hilton, and Sheraton.

Most of our Skeptrack events will be held on the 2nd Floor of the Atlanta Downtown Hilton near the skywalk entrance to the Marriott.

Jennifer Ouellette

Jennifer Ouellette is a recovering English major who stumbled into science writing quite by accident, and has been avidly exploring her inner geek ever since. She is the author of Black Bodies and Quantum Cats: Tales from the Annals of Physics and The Physics of the Buffyverse, both published by Penguin, and is currently writing her third book, The Calculus Diaries: How Math Can Help You Lose Weight, Win in Vegas, and Survive a Zombie Outbreak.Her work has also appeared in The Washington Post, New Scientist, Discover, Salon, Symmetry, and Physics World,among other publications. As of November 2008, she is the director of the Science and Entertainment Exchange, a new LA-based initiative of the National Academy of Sciences to foster creative collaborations between industry professionals in Hollywood and scientists.
